Verbier, at 1,500 m in the Val de Bagnes in Valais, offers around 500 km of MTB routes in the heart of the 4 Vallées area, 23 signposted enduro routes, a 9-trail bike park served by the Médran gondola and a dozen high-altitude restaurants. The lifts carry bikes from June to the end of October.

The terrain
Enduro & singletracks
This is the heart of riding in Verbier: mountainside singletracks, switchbacks, forest, views over the Combins. 23 signposted enduro routes, from La Chaux down to Le Châble, with more than 1,500 m of descent. And this is where our guides make the difference: the best trails are not on the maps.
Bike park
Nine trails and 19 km of descent, from the green learning trail to the Tire's Fire race track, served from Médran, La Chaux and Savoleyres. Perfect for progressing by stacking up runs. How it works is a little further down.
E-bike & terroir
On an e-bike, the Val de Bagnes opens up to everyone: alpine paths, villages, huts and a dozen mountain restaurants for the Valais platter and Bagnes cheese. This is the terrain of our gourmet ride.
How it works
Nine trails, 19 km of descent, three starting points: Médran, La Chaux and Savoleyres. How it works, with the 2026 figures.
Start at Médran, right in the centre of Verbier. The Médran-Les Ruinettes gondola (ten-seat cabins, bikes inside) climbs from 1,531 m to 2,198 m in six minutes. The Chaux Express chairlift adds 275 m for the upper trails. Free e-MTB charging station at Médran. Chôtatai starts from Savoleyres, above La Tzoumaz.
Bike park open from 4 June to 25 October. Verbier-Les Ruinettes from 8:30 to 17:00 between 27 June and 21 September, then 9:00 to 17:00 until 25 October; in June, only 4 to 7, 13 and 14, and 20 to 26 June. The upper trails (Ruinettes-Fontanet and La Chaux-Fontanet) run from 4 July to 21 September. Chôtatai, from Savoleyres: 4 July to 30 August, plus a few September weekends.
Verbier Bike Pass (Verbier, Bruson, La Tzoumaz): CHF 47 per day for adults, CHF 40 for youths, CHF 24 for children. 4 Vallées Bike Pass: CHF 57. With the guests' VIP Pass, a Verbier day costs CHF 24 for adults. 10 % off online ten days ahead, 15 % off from 15 people. Le Châble-Verbier gondola: CHF 6.40 per ride.
Helmet, gloves, knee pads and back protector strongly recommended, full-face helmet for downhill. Pedestrians have priority on shared trails: slow down and stop before every crossing. Stay on the marked trails, close the pasture gates behind you, take your litter home.
Beginner? From 4 July to 21 September, Tsenelle first (La Chaux), then Chôtatai (July and August), five kilometres of flow from Savoleyres down to La Tzoumaz. Outside those dates, only the Médran trails run: start with Tsopu, ideally with a lesson. Confident? Wouaiy and Rôdze, 65 jumps. Tire's Fire is the race track of the European Downhill Cup. Pump track, skill park and dirt park at the bottom of the trails.

Cycling
We are mountain bike and e-bike guides, not road guides. But if you come with a road bike or a gravel bike, this is what draws road cyclists to Verbier.
Le Châble - Verbier, 8.8 km at 7.5 %: the finish of stage 15 of the 2009 Tour de France, won by Alberto Contador on 19 July 2009. The Tour de Suisse also finished here in 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2014.
From Le Châble via Verbier: 15.5 km, 1,342 m of climbing, 8.7 % average, summit at 2,174 m. Stage 13 of the 2023 Giro d'Italia started in Le Châble and crossed it on 19 May 2023.
Col des Planches from Martigny, 10.3 km at 8.9 %. Champex-Lac from Bovernier, 10.4 km at 8.2 %. Mauvoisin dam from Le Châble, 18.1 km and 1,145 m. Great St Bernard from Martigny, 42 km and 2,072 m.
The Tour des Stations sportive starts in Le Châble in late August (29 August 2026), from 77 to 242 km and up to 8,848 m of climbing. For gravel, verbier.ch lists 10 signposted routes from 8.8 to 42.2 km.

Local tips
Lifts carry bikes from June to the end of October (2026 bike park: 4 June to 25 October), with trails rideable from May to November depending on snow. July and August for the buzz and every lift open, September and October for the colours and quiet trails.

Helmet always, protection for downhill (gloves, knee pads, back protector), and respect for hikers, who have priority on shared trails. We share the mountain. When in doubt about a trail, ask a local.

Frequently asked questions
It is not mandatory, but it changes everything: the most beautiful trails in Verbier are unmarked, and a local guide takes you to the right place for your level, the weather and trail conditions. Our guides were born in Verbier and are Swiss Cycling certified, from CHF 80 per person.
It depends on your level. For the views, the descent from the top of the area down to Le Châble, more than 1,500 m of vertical. For enduro, the singletracks above the resort. For a relaxed family outing, the alpine paths of the Val de Bagnes by e-bike with a stop at a mountain restaurant.
Yes. Thanks to e-bikes and the gentle paths of the Val de Bagnes, a beginner can enjoy it from the first ride. At the bike park, the green Tsenelle (4 July to 21 September) and the blue Chôtatai (July and August) are made for learning; outside those dates, start on the blue Tsopu, from Médran. Our guided tours and private lessons adapt to every level, families and children included.
In 2026 the bike park is open from 4 June to 25 October. The Verbier-Les Ruinettes gondola runs from 8:30 to 17:00 between 27 June and 21 September, then from 9:00 to 17:00 until the end of October, with partial openings in June. Each season’s dates are published by Téléverbier on verbier4vallees.ch.
In 2026 the Verbier Bike Pass (Verbier, Bruson, La Tzoumaz) costs CHF 47 per day for an adult, CHF 40 for a youth and CHF 24 for a child; the 4 Vallées Bike Pass costs CHF 57. Yes. The ten-seat cabins of the Médran-Les Ruinettes gondola carry bikes, e-bikes included, climbing 666 m in six minutes. A free e-MTB charging station is installed at Médran.
Yes: CHF 125 per day, helmet included. We book the bike for you with our Verbier partners and it is waiting for you at the start of your ride.
From CHF 80 to 320 per person for a half day and from CHF 120 to 550 for a full day, depending on group size. Private lessons and the Nepal trip are priced on request.
By car, Verbier is 30 minutes from Martigny, 50 minutes from Sion, 1 h 20 from Lausanne and 2 hours from Geneva. By train, get off at Le Châble (25 minutes from Martigny), then the Le Châble-Verbier gondola takes you up in around ten minutes, bike included. From 27 April to 22 May and from 26 to 30 October it is closed for maintenance and a bus replaces it.
Yes. Verbier is one of the biggest MTB destinations in Switzerland: 500 km of routes, 23 signposted enduro routes, a 9-trail bike park, 18 lifts open in summer and a season from June to the end of October. The resort sits at 1,500 m, with descents of more than 1,700 m down to Le Châble.
To start: Ruinettes - Clambin - Le Châble, 14 km and 1,743 m of descent on forest roads only, or La Planie, flat at 2,200 m. For enduro: La Chaux - Schlérondes, Larzai - Bruson and Six Blanc - Lourtier. For experts: Cabane Mont-Fort - La Chaux - Lourtier, the Vallon d’Arby and the Col de Mille, 1,862 m of descent. Our guides add the trails that are not signposted.
Yes. The Le Châble - Verbier climb, 8.8 km at 7.5 %, was the finish of a 2009 Tour de France stage won by Alberto Contador. The Croix de Cœur, 15.5 km at 8.7 %, was on the route of the 2023 Giro d'Italia. Col des Planches, Champex-Lac, Mauvoisin and the Great St Bernard are the other classics.
